Reporter: “Cap, give us a quick breakdown of the 3 matches tonight and what got you guys back on track.”
Cap: “The first match we just weren’t clicking. We missed some shots out there and they didn’t. And even though we suspect an enhanced controller we just didn’t hit our targets and it ultimately cost us the match. The second match was a case of us getting ahold of a new team. It takes time to adapt to this league. They were a cool group of guys and they have potential. Jafar did a hell of a job and I’m proud of him for that. The last match was a rematch and we just stayed composed. We tried a plan on Outskirts, but they defended well forcing OT. From there I was able to pick that punisher guy the first 3 kills and forcing them to rush us and Jafar and Moe took it from there. It’s awesome to be in Victory lane. I love this place.”
Reporter: “You 3 are known as the midnite crew. What’s the connection between you guys like and why have you guys been so consistent?”
Cap: “We just go out and play hard. 3v3 is a lot more strategy then just gunning to 1000. Those two guys have been awesome to work with. Our connection is great. I trust them and they trust me. Our radio waves are always active and precise. These guys are always prepared, and I think we do a great job representing V when our comrades are not in the battle arena. I think our consistency can be attributed to how often and well we play together. Everyone does their part on this team and we just try to do ours.”
Reporter: “How do you guys keep this streak going?”
Cap: “Hard work, determination, composure, communication, holding our position, and trying never to let a lead slip away. There’s been a lot of maps that we let get away from us. The calls don’t always go your way and the mistakes happen. We have to limit those mistakes and just hit our targets and we’ll be fine. I think each game we grow and get stronger. We have a very cohesive team here. The experience we gain every match is just another step up that ladder. I know how high that ladder is. I want to be at the top. To get there it will take all that and more. It’s a league and in leagues you have to get creative. It’s what sets you apart from the goods. It makes you great.”
Reporter: “Cap, you had a bad night the other night. Explain what went wrong and how you got yourself together over night.”
Cap: “Pussy. It solves all your frustrations. Get some of that and things won’t be so mad. I had a neck muscle issue. I’ve never had that pain before in my life, so it was extremely uncomfortable. I felt like I had a neck brace on. So I got all out of wack on my game and just didn’t perform. I then punished myself by playing some soft core TD to learn how to shoot again. I know it may have been a bit extreme, but I was pissed at myself. I know I’m better than that. I’m glad I performed well tonight and could contribute to the team. I just wanted to make up for my poor performance the night before.”
Reporter: “One last thing. Finish this sentence for me. V has had this turn around because….”
Cap: “We play as a team. Different map, different hero. Everyone on the core has won us a map. It can be huge numbers all map or a 0-5 guy getting a last second kill to give us the lead and the Victory. We stay composed. These guys listen and last year they didn’t. They ran around and got destroyed. We realize what it takes to win and we’re putting together our packages nicely.”
Reporter: “Thanks Cap for stopping by and sharing your thoughts.”
Cap: “Yeah boy! ”
