Reporter: “Cap, the 5 game win streak was huge. It’s the longest streak of the season for you guys. How important is it for this team to be consistent and play hard?”
Cap: “It’s the only way to get W’s! If we want to be among the best in the league then we need to play at a high level every match. Every match means being consistent. The streak was nice while it lasted, but it didn’t last for long and we have given up some easy W’s lately. We’re not clicking on all cylinders right now and league regulations have killed us. I’m not going to blame anyone one person. Even with lag outs we’ve had the OT to win it and just failed in the moment of truth.”
Reporter: “Cap, breakdown this week and what momentum means to you as the team captain.”
Cap: “Momentum is everything. Once you possess it things seem to fall into place for you. This week has been tough on all of us. Not really much to say other than we need to step up and handle our shit.”
Reporter: “When you re-examine the games against Campalot what stands out to you as a leader in what went wrong. I mean you guys should have really lost the first game too, but the COD gods were with you. How intense is it when it’s all on the line?”
Cap: “Yeah, the first game they just let their guard down and I took advantage of it. They were tired and exposed themselves and we pounced on it. That one round where I was able to hold us in was incredible and I just saw a head and got the first shot on the winning round. That game could have gone either way. As for the other game it was bullshit. We had a lag out and just failed when it was all on the line. It tough when you go 3-0 and you still lose. I’m sure there will be a V vs Campalot III. No doubt the score needs to be settled. It’s intense any time your on the battlefield. We just need to maintain our composure and do what we do.”
Reporter: “Go into detail about the personnel changes and what it means to you when a teammate turns their back on the team and fails to fulfill their contract.”
Cap: “It’s an obligation that we are all required to fulfill. She failed to do so and she will be held accountable. Simple as that. Holding out on the rest of the team for a dislike of a couple members is chicken shit. That’s all I have to say about that gay issue. As far as the new members are concerned we’re happy they are here and we expect them to produce. The addition of those guys should strengthen the team as a whole as well as them individually. If we didn’t think they had the talent to make it in this league we wouldn’t have brought them in. I can’t wait to see what they got when the pressure is on and the W is on the line. Can’t wait to be in the battle arena with them.”
Reporter: “Clearly this roster just got even more solid with these signings. What’s next for this team?”
Cap: “Championship! We’re in it to win it and that’s all I have to say.”
Reporter: “Thanks Cap for your time and cooperation. We hope to get more words from you and the team as the season winds down.”
Cap: “10-4”
