Media Reporter: "Cap, while we have you here real quick, how did you guys stay loose and even this series at one apiece?"
Cap: "I think tonight we stayed composed and played our game. The opening night's game we elected to go with inexperience to get experience instead of leadership and fielding the best team. We also didn't have our players play their game. We tried to conform to the other team. As you can see the results were clearly different and I'm very proud of everyone on this team right now. V hadn't tasted victory in WaW, so it was very fun and exciting to be apart of. When I signed my lifetime contract back in '07 I did so to live in these types of moments. It's also way tougher to win on Team death as opposed to search, so it means a lot to me to have fought through the adversity and losing we've gone through on this game to be here tonight and enjoy this sweet victory.
"
MR: "Yeah, clearly the team was a much different team tonight. You brought the leadership and composure early from the moment you brought the team into the arena, to you holding your post, and even clearing up the time limit round rule.
"
Cap: "That's what I am here for. They brought me here two years ago to do just this. I'm a verbal leader, but more importantly I lead by example. I not only stress composure and holding your post, but I do it as well. And that's just the leadership. It was much more about the way the team produced tonight. They still had to go out there and play their game and be effective. I know what I can do. I've played in this system my whole career. It came down to all of us. We got the much needed W.
"
MR: "Not dying on a Hardcore Team death-match in an MLG game is difficult, but not impossible. That being showed by the camp-fest we saw on Seelow the night before with the 0-0 draw. But, to not die on a map that size and for a full 1000 point score was just impressive.
How did you do it?"
Cap: "I live in Campsterdam. I hold my post! *smiles* I would have never guessed heading in that I wouldn't die that round. It's been one of my favorite spots on any map that I like and my teammates kept them from ever getting too close. They tried snipers, but I had my game on and I was gellin’, so I didn't miss many shots. So as they got into position I picked them off and it lead to dogs. Dogs get W's. The non-time limit is the part that makes me smile. That was easily a 15 plus minute round. I was just doing my part and my teammates did theirs. That's the only reason it happened.
"
MR: "Some people thought that maybe you didn't want to play tonight.
What was that about?
Cap: "I don't know. The C stands for Captain, but it also stands for Character. I like to fool around with the best of 'em. So maybe some of them took me serious, but I stated on the team site that I would be suited up tonight and I wanted that victory. Maybe more than anyone else. It's been a while since I've been in the winner’s circle and been able to have enjoyable interviews. It's V's time to shine and I'll be there every step of the way.
"
MR: “Thanks Cap for your time.
”
Cap: “10-4, roger that penske! Over and out.
